Startlight and Pine Band

Starlight and Pine are a husband-and-wife fronted Heartland-Rock band from Erie, Colorado, formed in 2021.

Lead vocalist Amber Starlight O'Malley is the daughter of notable underground psychedelic folk-rock singer Michele O'Malley, and grew up singing in her father's Jazz ensembles in Los Angeles. Writer/singer/guitarist Kim Godard is a music-school drop-out from Boulder, CO who met his future wife and muse in NYC while playing the East Village circuit in the 90s.

Often combining tragic storylines and flowing folk-pop harmonies influenced by the likes of The Decemberists, The Shins and Lucinda Williams, their sound is at once familiar and mysterious, transporting the listener with a heady mixture of acoustic songwriter folk and 70s-era album rock with a modern pop sensibility.

BLIND TASTING!
Feb

BLIND TASTING!

Settle in, warm up, and taste together.

Join us at The Wheel House for a community-driven whiskey blind tasting designed to spark conversation, curiosity, and connection during the winter months. You’ll sample four different whiskeys, served in short-pour tasting format, without knowing what’s in your glass—letting your palate, not the label, lead the way.

A whiskey expert will guide the experience, walking us through style, aroma, and flavor while keeping the bottles hidden until the end. Taste, score, debate, and compare notes with fellow Wheel House regulars, neighbors, and friends.

At the conclusion, reveal the lineup—and whatever whiskey you choose as your favorite, you’ll enjoy a full pour or a cocktail made with it.

Expect:

Four diverse whiskeys from different styles and backgrounds

A perfect winter warm-up experience

Guided education from an industry professional

A relaxed, social, community-first atmosphere

No prior whiskey knowledge required—just bring your curiosity and your palate. This is about shared experience, discovery, and good conversation, the Wheel House way.

Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty day out!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Drop in Ukulele

There’s something magical about a circle of ukuleles strumming in sync — laughter, rhythm, and connection filling the air. At The Wheel House, our ukulele sessions are about more than just music; they’re about community. Whether you’re a first-time player or a seasoned strummer, join us for a laid-back jam where everyone’s part of the melody. Grab a drink, grab a uke (or borrow one of ours), and let’s make a little music together — no pressure, just good vibes, good company, and the sound of Niwot’s happiest gathering spot coming to life.

NEW YEARS EVE PARTY!!

NEW YEARS EVE PARTY!!

WE ARE THROWING A NEW YEARS EVE PARTY!

This is not just any NYE party.  We want to include everyone from around the world (within our normalish hours of operation).  And we want to offer a chance for people that may not want to make it until midnight to celebrate the beginning of a new year!

To do this, we are going to live stream 5 time zones from Paris to Niwot that will be coupled with a drink special to honor that region.  The pores are "toast" sized (1/2) but are 1/4 of the price!

The pairings are as follows:

4pm - Paris (Eiffel Tower) - Bubbly!

5pm - London (Big Ben) - Old Speckled Hen British Fine Ale

8pm - Rio De Janeiro - Caipirinha (made with Brazilian Cachaça)

10pm - NYC (Ball Drop) - Manhattans

Midnight - Niwot - Coors Banquet Beer (Full Sized and FREE!)

We will also be having a special kids toast at 6pm! Please see the attached flyers for more information.  NO TICKETS NEEDED!

It's quite unique and entertaining and lookin for a place in December to do my Christmas show where I incorporate some Christmas songs sung by Elvis and Bruce Springteen. I do some theatrics and incorporate costumes.“
